Quotes

Can you provide an estimate over the phone or by email?

We are happy to give you a quote via email or in person. We can also send one of our representatives to your home to measure up and discuss your needs and options. If you can supply photographs of the existing windows, we can provide an approximate price based on these photographs alone.

We would require a window schedule which is comprised:

  • Approximate sizes in mm
  • Style of window (preferably drawings including number of openers, Georgian bars, etc.)
  • Supply only or supply and fit (whether you require our fitting team to install the windows)
  • Material (uPVC, aluminium, etc.)

How long does it take to receive a quote?

Normally within 48 hours from email/ visit, you will receive written quotaion via email.

How long is my quotation valid for?

Quotations are valid for 10 days from the date on the paperwork.

What are your payment terms?

45% with order,

35% before installation,

20% on the day of completion.

Storage charges may apply if you delay the installation.

We do not offer finance.

Ordering

I would like to go ahead with the quote, what happens next?

  • A confirmation of your styles, openings, glass spec & colour options will be required
  • This will be put into a formal order.
  • Thereafter, a deposit will be required.
  • A site survey will be booked, to take accurate measurements for manufacturing.

What happens after the site survey?

Providing all the information has been confirmed, and deposit received, the windows will now go into production.

Can I make any changes to my order, once a survey has been carried out?

Installation

When will my installation be booked in?

The installation team will contact you, to book in a date. This will be around the time, of the lead times provided.

How long does it take to install windows and doors?

This often depends on the condition of the site and how complicated it might be. Usually, a two-man team of fitters will complete three to six windows per day.

Is it best to decorate before or after windows are installed?

We recommend you carry out all decorational works after installation works, as there can be damage around the surround of the windows upon installation.

Do you have your own installation team fitting your windows?

Yes, we only use our own fully trained and accredited installers for all of our jobs.

Do you dispose of the windows after installation?

Yes, we always dispose of the old windows, glass and any rubbish that is left over from your installation. All recyclable material is recycled. We will also ensure that your home and property is vacuumed if required and protected with dust sheets to leave it as clean and tidy as it was before we arrived.

When removing window and door frames, will it affect any wiring or electrics in my home?

Most of the time, this isn’t an issue. If we come across wiring when we are installing for you, we will have to stop work (or continue in a safe area) and you will need a qualified electrician to make it safe for us to continue working. We are not allowed to work with any wiring at all.

Do you need to construct scaffolding?

This depends on the building in which we are fitting windows. In the interests of your home, your safety and our workmen’s safety, we must strictly adhere to current Health & Safety regulations.

How do I prepare for installation?

Please ensure all items around the windows are removed, and anything fragile moved away. We would require clear access to and around the windows, to ensure sufficient working space for our installation team.

Any window coverings i.e: curtains, blinds and net curtains, must be removed prior to installation and stored in safe place.

Please note it is not DDG Window’s responsibility to remove or reinstall any window coverings i.e: curtains, blinds, shutters and net curtains.

Completion

What happens once the job is completed?

Once installation is complete and payment is made in full you will receive your completion paperwork. Please ensure this is kept in a safe place as you will require this for any aftersales enquiry
